Wild Card Filters

The * and ? are wild card filters.

Problem:

Wild card filters cannot be used as part of a range filter when you are trying to exclude the elements of the range.

Ex of non valid filters:

"<>A*..C*"

"<>A?..B?"

Solution:

To create a filter that will exclude everything starting with A through C, think of the filter as including everything except the things starting with A through C. When you think of the filter as including values, then D.. is the filter you would use.

Note: In the Universal or Great Plains connectors, "<>A*&<>B*&<>C*" would also work for this example since no ranges are involved.
