If the computer hosting the SSIS instance is unavailable when synchronizing a data source or deploying from within the Jet Data Manager, the user will be presented with the error " Connecting to the Integration Services service on the computer "X" failed with the following error: "The RPC server is unavailable".
Typically, this error will present itself because of firewall settings on the remote machine that is hosting SSIS. Go through the following steps and ensure that each is setup correctly.
- Ensure that the named instance for the server is spelled correctly for each connection (i.e. Source, Stage, DWH)
- If SSIS is hosted on a separate server, ensure that the Firewall is not what is blocking the connection.
