RTC errors relating to Pivotier Fields which do not exist in Classic or test environments

The role-tailored client will sometimes raise errors which do not make sense. Typically these will cast suspicion on Pivotier fields and the errors often are not seen in Classic or test environments.

When installing objects (any objects, not just Pivotier), the presense of the service tier must be accounted for.

So after installing objects:

  • ensure that objects being installed are compiled on the service tier, AND
  • stop and restart the NAV Application Server (the RTC middle-tier).
