The Data Source Settings are used to define your database connection.
When you first start Excel with Jet Express for Excel, you may see the notification that there is not yet a defined data source:
Click on the Data Source Settings button and you will be asked how you want to configure your settings:
If you already have a Jet Data Source Settings file, you can choose to import those settings.
Otherwise, you will select I want to configure my data source.
On the New Data Source window, you will need to give your data source a name and select what type of database you are connecting to.
